St. Nicodemus Lutheran Church is looking for a full-time pastor to lead our congregation. St. Nicodemus was founded in 1856 in a rural community in western New York. We are located in the Town of Marilla, County of Erie and is less than 20 miles southeast of Buffalo, N.Y. Marilla is in the Iroquois Central School district which is rated in the top 10 for this area. The last renovation to our church was made in 1000 to create new Sunday school rooms and a pastor's office. St. Nicodemus Lutheran has been affiliated with the ELCA for many years. Recently we voted to leave the ELCA and join the LCMC Association. The congregation has loving and friendly people that actively participate and support this church. There are two worship services (8:15am and 10:45am, we communion) every Sunday. There is a Sunday school program for all ages at 9:30am. The historic sanctuary reflects a quaint county atmosphere that is inviting and comfortable to all who enter. Our parsonage is located less than a mile from the church in a county setting that offers a quiet retreat. We require a pastor whose faith is in the Lord, has a solid Biblical foundation and lives a life worth of the Gospel. We are seeking a pastor who is sincere, organized, compassionate, and dedicated; someone who is enthusiastic, skilled at working with youth and has a love for music. | We are seeking to fill our Pastor position. Prince of Peace was formed in 1995 through the consolidation of two former Lutheran congregations. We moved into our new facility in April of 2000. It is located in NW Spokane, which is a newer expanding area of Spokane. Our congregation believes in the authority of Christ living in and amongst us. We grow and learn through the authority of the Scripture and the Spirit working through each of us. On Sundays we have two services with Sunday School provided in between the services for all ages. During the week Bible studies are offered to the congregation throughout the Church year. There is a preschool provided to the community during the school year. We are also involved with Interfaith Hospitality and offer our facility to other local groups that use it on a regular basis. During the summer we provide a one-week Vacation Bible School to the community. Also there are four outdoor evening concerts provided to the community in the summer. | |

There are two traditional Holy Communion services each Sunday and a monthly Saturday evening alternative worship service. This is a full time, year round, permanent position. The primary responsibility of the Lay Parish Worker is Youth Ministry. This includes leading weekly youth group meetings, teaching the Senior High Sunday School class, coordinating the Confirmation program, assisting with Vacation Bible School, etc. Other duties may include coordinating a retirees' group, occasionally teaching a traditional adult Bible study, helping with special Advent and Lent events, assisting the pastor with visitation, and the like. Musical and/or computer skills would be extremely helpful. A theological degree is not required but experience working with youth is preferred.
